A daily race over the void

Nopeway is a free racing game you play in your browser. Every day at midnight UTC there's one new track, and it's the same track for everyone on the planet.

How a day works

You fly a small neon ship down a road floating in space. The road has gaps to jump, walls to dodge, tunnels to thread, boost pads that throw you forward and burning tiles that end your run on contact. A run lasts about half a minute.

You get unlimited tries. Crash, and you're back at the start in a blink. Only your best time counts, and it goes on the day's leaderboard next to everyone else's. Tomorrow there's a new track and a fresh board.

A daily game, like Wordle, but you drive it

Daily puzzle games work because everyone gets the same challenge and can compare results. Nopeway does that for racing. When you finish, you can share a short result with your time and a row of coloured squares, one per section of the track, showing where you were fast and where you lost time.

Race your friends' ghosts

Share a race link and your whole run travels with it. Your friend taps it and races against your ghost on the same track, ship and all. Beat their time, send it back. Nopeway stores only your inputs, never a video, so a full run fits in a link.

Every time is checked

When you finish, the server replays your exact inputs through the same simulation the game uses. If the replay doesn't reach the finish line in the time you claimed, the run doesn't count. That keeps the leaderboard honest. The main board is Medium, with separate boards for phones and keyboards since they play differently, and Easy and Hard each have their own.

Fast lines and safe lines

Each stretch of road offers a quick, risky line (boost pads next to fire, one-lane bridges, jumps over gaps) and a slower, safer one. Learning the track means learning when the risky line is worth it. Every track also has a par: the time of a perfect run, found by a solver bot that tries every line.

Who makes it

Nopeway is a small independent game made by Softuki. The neon look is a love letter to the space-road racers of the early 90s. Questions or ideas: get in touch.
